Last year's Northside Summer Internship Program was a huge success! Our students built real tech skills and tackled exciting projects. They learned programming, data science, and even conducted field research exploring technology and the environment. Key highlights included:

Diverse Technological Training: Interns gained hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, middleware administration, programming, analytics, and artificial intelligence, using state-of-the-art facilities at the University of Minnesota.

Practical and Creative Endeavors: The program went beyond typical classroom settings, incorporating real-world job experiences and creative workshops in audio/visual production, which allowed interns to produce tangible outcomes from their learning.

Community and Senior Engagement: One of the most fulfilling aspects of the program was the deep community engagement. Our interns not only learned from but also contributed to the community, from mentoring at elementary summer camps to assisting senior citizens with technology, embodying the spirit of service and leadership.

Expansive Field Trips: Interns explored various facilities and participated in field trips that broadened their understanding of both academic and real-world applications of their skills, from environmental science projects to visits to cutting-edge research centers.
